On this day 11 years ago, the boys’ soccer team won an overtime thriller against Pierson. The Bears took a 1-0 advantage into halftime thanks to a goal by Jon Anderson less than five minutes into the match, but Pierson wrested control away with two goals in a three-minute span to take a 2-1 edge with 28 minutes remaining. Then, with just 5:50 left, Leon DeLalio knotted the game at 2-2, sending the game into extra time. In the overtime period, Sam Lee played the hero for the Brook, scoring the winning goal in a 3-2 victory.
The 2004 team would go on to win the League Championship.
