Last Saturday, in the annual Suffolk Officials Meet, sophomore Jyles Etienne earned an impressive 4th place finish in the open high jump after tying his personal best height of 6′ 2″. Down to his third and final attempt at the height, he found enough to clear the bar and move on.

It was the second time this season that Etienne soared over 6′ 2″, the first occurring on April 1 in a dual meet vs. Greenport. His mark currently leaves him tied for 3rd place on all of Long Island and 1st place in Class B.
