For the third season in a row and the seventh time in eight years, the boys’ basketball team has been represented on the All-State team.
This morning the New York State Sportswriters Association released its All-State honorees and Robbie Colarusso earned a spot on the Seventh Team while Luke Meyer was recognized with an Honorable Mention.
The senior tandem was a force for the Bears this year, leading them to their third consecutive Suffolk County title. Colarusso’s 3-point sharpshooting and penchant for the big play was balanced by Meyer’s relentless defense, peerless court vision, and willingness to do whatever it took to win.
Next season they will continue to refine their games at the next level as Colarusso will play for Castleton College in Vermont and Meyer will continue donning the blue and white for Gordon College in Massachusetts.
