On this day 13 years ago, Nathan Kenney ’01 scored his first collegiate goal for the University of Virginia in a 10-9 victory over the University of North Carolina.

Kenney would finish his freshman season tied for 9th on the team in goals with 4. One year later he would help the Cavaliers claim the National Championship with a huge defensive play late in the game that sealed the 9-7 win over Johns Hopkins.
