Banks opened the scoring in each half, his second goal giving Syracuse University a 9-4 edge over the Blue Jays. The 7,000 at the Carrier Dome were treated to a classic as Hopkins staged a fourth quarter comeback, but the Orange did just enough to hold off the Jays and improve to 3-0 en route to a 15-1 record and a National Championship.
