On this day three years ago, Taylor Colucci broke the 55 meter school record in the championship of the Yale Track Classic. Colucci scorched the track in a time of 6.53 to best the record of 6.58, set by Khoren Lawson ’11 in the same event the previous year.

Colucci’s time gave him a 2nd place finish, just one hundredth of a second behind the winning time of 6.52. The time also ranked him as the 5th fastest runner in New York State and the 50th fastest in the nation according to DYSTAT, a national track database.
