On this day 19 years ago, Rebecca Fischer set the school record for points in a girls’ basketball game with a 26-point effort against Mattituck. The freshman added 9 rebounds to lead the Bears to a 58-39 win. Fischer bested the mark of 25 points set the previous season by her teammate, Kaia Mahler.
