On this day 92 years ago, the basketball team won the second game in program history with a 34-14 victory over the Patchogue All Stars. The victory kept the Brookers on the winning end after having defeated Smithtown, 32-6, on November 22. Here is the recap of the game from the February 1923 edition of The Adventurer, a student publication:

The Patchogue men played a fast game, but lacked the endurance of the Stony Brook team. Steenland and Inglis both made five baskets. Sloat threw six baskets from the foul line and four from the field.
