The ’67 Harriers (Left to right: Luvalle, Coach Goldberg, Swanson, Barclay, Etherington, Dreger, Hollis, Coach Lingle, Constant, Iatauro)
On this day 45 years ago, the boys’ cross country squad won a 13th straight Ivy League title, winning easily over their longstanding rivals. In the 18 years the event had been run, the Brook was victories 16 times. Though it was the first time in six years that a Stony Brook runner did not run away with the individual crown, six Brookers packed the top nine spots, a testament to the quality and depth of the ’67 harriers.
