
When Jerome Washington ’12 roamed Fitch Field he was always a danger to the opposing secondary. With so much attention rightfully falling on All-County running back, Don Liotine, it was often Washington, with the help of quarterback Marco Masakayan, who could break a game open with a huge play. With an imposing frame, incredible strength, the ability to elevate, and hands like duct tape, there were few, if any, defenders who could guard him.
Now college cornerbacks are having a hard time guarding him as well.
Washington plays football for Gattaca Football, affiliated with Mercy County Community College. At the midpoint of the season, he leads the team with five touchdown receptions and is a big reason why they’ve raced out to a 5-1 start. Here are Washington’s highlights thus far:
