In her first appearance for Adelphi University, Donna Liotine ’11 helped the Panthers defeat Philadelphia University 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. With the Panthers already leading 1-0, Liotine, a defender, was called upon to take a corner kick, placing it into the box for her teammate Danielle Bottaro to finish it for a 2-0 lead. Liotine was not just the only freshman on the squad to start, but the only freshman to see the field, playing the entire 90 minutes.
Liotine and Adelphi will take the field again Friday September 9 @ 7:00pm vs. Merrimack College.
