Girls’ Track Dusts Ross School

On a balmy afternoon on the Marvin W. Goldberg track, the girls’ track and field squad humbled the Ross School, 88-33.

Allie Damianos took 1st in both the high jump, by way of a four-way jump off, and the 400 and helped lead the 4×400 relay team to victory. Rebecca Hollis overcame the obstacles before her, earning a victory in the 400 hurdles. Margot Rashba also had an impressive day, winning the 1500 in 5:40.8, the 3000 in 12:13.0, and anchoring the 4×800 relay team that took 1st in 11:59.0. The 4×400 relay team, comprised of seventh-grader Hollis, eighth-grader Shannon Kelly, 10th-grader Damianos, and eighth-grader Emily Pius, turned in one of the most exciting results of the day as the youthful quad ran away with a blowout win.
