On this day 76 years ago, the baseball team defeated Setauket High School, 8-1, in their season opener.
The Blue and White wasted little time getting on the board, scoring two runs in each of the first two innings with Everett Welch providing the offense in the 2nd frame with a two-run home run. The offense was well balanced as Grant Johnson finished the game with two triples while Aertsen Keasbey clouted two doubles. The most impressive part of the Brook’s win happened on the base paths as the boys stole an incredible 16 bases, with John Dill swiping four on his own.
