Boys’ Track Opens Season With a Blowout

April 1, 2011

On a miserable day that saw our athletes endure 30° temperatures, incessant rain and intermittent hail, the boys track team throttled Babylon 110-20 yesterday to open their 85th campaign.  The result was even more dominant than the team’s 100-31 victory over the Panthers last season.  Highlights of the meet included Andrew White’s 1st place finish in the 100 meter dash in 11.6, Wyatt Piazza’s victory in the 1600 meter run in 5:20, Khoren Lawson’s top finishes in the 200 meter dash in 23.2 and the triple jump in 37′ 8.5″, Taylor Colucci’s victory in the 400 meter dash in 55.6 and Forrest Hull’s trifecta of wins in the 110 meter hurdles (18.3), 400 meter hurdles (63.1) and high jump (5′ 3″).  The boys will next take on Mercy at home on 4/13 @ 4:30pm.
