Boys’ Track Opens Season With a Blowout

On a miserable day that saw our athletes endure 30° temperatures, incessant rain, and intermittent hail, the boys’ track team buried Babylon, 110-20, yesterday to open their 85th campaign. The result was even more dominant than the team’s 100-31 victory over the Panthers last season.

Highlights of the meet included Andrew White’s 1st place finish in the 100 meter dash (11.6), Wyatt Piazza’s victory in the 1600 meter run (5:20), Khoren Lawson’s top finishes in the 200 meter dash (23.2) and the triple jump (37′ 8.5″), Taylor Colucci’s victory in the 400 meter dash (55.6), and Forrest Hull’s trifecta of wins in the 110 meter hurdles (18.3), 400 meter hurdles (63.1), and high jump (5′ 3″). The boys will next take on Mercy at home on April 13 @ 4:30pm.
