2010 Season Review: Last season the boys competed at the junior varsity level, finishing their season with a 10-9 record.

2011 Season Outlook: It remains to be seen how well the boys will compete against varsity competition, but what is not in doubt is the respect they have for coach Musmacker and the confidence he has instilled in them. The boys seem positive and excited about the upcoming season and eager to prove that, despite their youth, they can play with the big boys.

Softball
2010 Season Review: Last season our softball program was a junior varsity team and showed promise with a 10-3 record. This season they rejoin the varsity ranks and hope to continue their success against a higher level of competition.

2011 Season Outlook: It is difficult to foresee how our girls will fare after a year removed from varsity competition; however, with the pitching arms of Devine and Stone in their arsenal this team shows some promise.

Boys’ Tennis
2010 Season Review: Last season the boys enjoyed their best campaign since winning the league in 2001 by finishing 10-0 as League VI Champions.

2011 Season Outlook: On the merit of last season’s success the boys have moved up a league and will be a presented with a very difficult schedule.

Boys’ Track
2010 Season Review: The boys finished 7-2 with losses to Port Jeff and Hampton Bays. Their average margin of victory, however, was 60.4 points including dominant wins over Ross/Pierson (119-12), Mercy (101-31), Mattituck (100-32), and Babylon (100-31).

2011 Season Outlook: After a strong season last year, the boys hope to put together another great campaign with a number of veterans on the squad. Hampton Bays and Southampton have moved up a league this season, so our toughest competition should once again be our crosstown rival, Port Jeff. Look out for some exciting marks from Lawson in the sprints and triple jump, Colucci in the sprints, Wentling in the 400m and Hull in the hurdles. The 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams also hope to make a name for themselves in the annals of Stony Brook’s illustrious track history.

Girls’ Track
2010 Season Review: The girls finished 4-5 with losses to Port Jeff, Hampton Bays, Mercy, Mattituck, and Southampton.

2011 Season Outlook: Hampton Bays and Southampton have moved up a league, but Mercy, Port Jeff, and Mattituck will be our girls’ strongest competition. Stiklickas will be important in the triple jump, Damianos in the high jump, Scavo in the middle distances, Ikouebe in the sprints, Rashba in the distances, Kim in the hurdles, and Shin in the speed walk.
