The 1934 wrestling squad

On this day 77 years ago, the wrestling team won the school’s first County Championship in the inaugural Suffolk County Wrestling Tournament.

The Blue and White capped an 11-2 season by defeating Amityville and Bayshore by a score of 101-79-46 to claim the victory. Four Brookers won individual County titles as Lane Patterson, Julius Ward, Doug Watt, and Philip Voegelin prevailed in their respective weight classes.
