The 1944 Blue and White

On this day 67 years ago the boys basketball team defeated Northport in thrilling fashion.  With the score knotted at 32 and the Blue and White in possession of the ball, the referee called a foul on Northport as time expired giving Bernard Reilly a chance to win it from the free throw line.  Reilly came through, giving the boys a narrow 33-32 victory.  Reilly and Art Goodwin led the team with 13 points apiece.
