The 1944 Blue and White

On this day 67 years ago, the basketball team defeated Northport in thrilling fashion. With the score knotted at 32-32 and the Blue and White in possession of the ball, the referee called a foul on Northport as time expired giving Bernard Reilly a chance to win it from the free throw line. Reilly came through, giving the boys a narrow 33-32 victory. Reilly and Art Goodwin led the team with 13 points apiece.
