The Blue and White

On this day 80 years ago…

In a 37-18 win to open the basketball season, Bob Glover single-handedly outscored Brooklyn Academy with 19 points. The Brook led 18-8 at the break, and in the second half Glover helped the Blue and White close their first of twelve straight wins with 11 of the team’s 13 points.

The first team to fall before the powerful Blue and White team was the old-time rival, Brooklyn Academy. Glover distinguished himself by running up 19 points.
