On this day tqwo years ago, the girls’ soccer team won the 28th Suffolk County Championship in school history after an epic victory over Pierson. The Bears and Whalers played a marathon of a match in which neither team scored for 108 minutes until Sadie Singer, a defender, won the second straight Championship for the Brook in the fourth overtime off of a deflected shot. Danielle Pappas had 7 saves in the win. It was the first of three championships the team won that fall along with the Long Island and Regional Championships.
