The football team improved to 2-0 after eeking out a 7-6 win over Hampton Bays in a defensive struggle. The Bears were shutout in the first half, but broke through in the third quarter when All-County players Derek Kenney and Charlie Hanchett hooked up for an 18-yard touchdown. Kevin Graves’ extra point kick provided the winning margin for the Brook. The story of the game was the Blue and White defense, bolstered by Kevin McCrain’s 8 tackles and fumble recovery, that limited the Baymen to a mere 119 yards of total offense.
