On a cold February night, the girls’ basketball team began their quest to return to States against Pierson in the Suffolk County Class C semifinal. It was a night of celebrations as the seniors on the team were honored along with coach Keith Singer in his last home game and our State Champion girls, soccer team, who unfurled their banner at halftime. The night was punctuated with a 51-28 victory over the Whalers.
