On Saturday, Duncan Kipkoech ran to a new personal record in the 1600 to take the gold medal at the Dennis Walker Relay Showdown, hosted by Huntington High School.
The senior from Kenya paced the field with a mark of 4:35.07, outkicking Hauppauge’s Alex Bento, who took second in 4:39.53.
