On Saturday, the sail team claimed their second straight spring NYISA-SE Team Race League Championship over familiar foe Rye High School, who they they beaten in six fleet or team race championship regattas dating back to 2019.
The Bears plied their home waters of Port Jefferson Harbor to a 7/1 finish to best Rye (6/2), Mamaroneck (5/3), Rye Country Day (1/7), and St. John the Baptist (1/7). Skippers Gavin Hudson, Mauro Gonzalez, and Mairead Reitzel were buoyed by the crew of Joshua Henson, Elaine Tan, and Andy Ye.
