On Thursday afternoon, the badminton team began defense of their three consecutive PSAA regular season titles by dispatching the Knox School 10-1 in their season opener.

The Bears won five of the six singles matches behind Junwon Seo (21-7, 21-9), Russell Yu (23-21, 21-15), Rania Lajmi (21-16, 21-4), Irene Qin (21-4, 21-4), and Dora Qian (21-2, 21-8).

The Blue & White swept the five doubles matches as Aidan Riley and Andrew Wong (21-3, 21-5), Daniel Kim and Alvin Zhou (21-2, 21-10), Catherine Wang and Hanna Shi (21-9, 21-9), Nancy Zhang and Ivy Sung (21-10, 21-14), and Daniel Wong and Emily Yao (21-6, 21-6) each won in straight sets.

The Bears are back on the court on April 17 in a home match-up with Knox.
