On this day 10 years ago, the boys’ basketball team won the Suffolk County Class C/D Championship in a 71-47 win over Shelter Island at Northport HS to improve to 18-1 on the season.

Freshman Chase Audige had 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals to lead the Bears in scoring, while Brandon Odom registered 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals in a sensational all-around effort.

Earlier in the week, the Bears won a second consecutive Class C title in a 62-36 win over Pierson. In this one, The Brook raced out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back in the lopsided victory.
