This week, the boys’ basketball team reached their highest Class A ranking of the season in the latest New York State Sportswriters Association Poll.

Thanks in large part to their 50-43 victory over #24 Lawrence Woodmere last week, who came into the match-up undefeated in PSAA play, the Bears moved up to #21 on the list after being slotted on the Honorable Mention line of last week’s poll.

They are currently the highest-ranked NYSAIS team in Class A, ahead of #25 Poly Prep, #28 Lawrence Woodmere, and honorable mentions Dalton, Hackley, and Riverdale.

The Bears next take the floor on Wednesday at Portledge in a key PSAA match-up.
