After being slotted at #23 in the first New York State Sportswriters Association poll of the season on Dec. 19, the Bears fell back to #26 in the Dec. 26 poll.

In yesterday’s Jan. 2 poll, the Bears rose four spots to a season-high ranking of #22 in Class A. They are the fourth-highest ranked NYSAIS team behind #1 Poly Prep, #8 Lawrence Woodmere, and #15 Riverdale.

The Bears are back on the court on January 6 vs. Thurgood Marshall before a key home match-up vs. Lawrence Woodmere on January 8.
