This afternoon, Newsday released its annual list of the Top 100 boys’ basketball players on Long Island. Senior Dylan Kopp was included among the best players in the public, private, and Catholic school leagues, joining Charlie Onana Awana, CJ Edwards, and Oskar Humpert as the only Bears to make the Top 100 in team history.
Kopp transferred in this season from Long Island Lutheran’s regional team, where he averaged 15.9 points, 6 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2 steals per game last season to earn PSAA Player of the Year honors. Newsday added, “Kopp can score from all three levels.”
Kopp and the Bears are back in action on Friday night in a home PSAA match-up with Knox.
