On Friday evening, the girls’ basketball team surged past Kew-Forest 74-9 to improve to 4-0 on the season and 3-0 in PSAA play.
The Bears set the tone right from the start, burying the Jaguars with a 30-1 first quarter. The lead swelled to 46-3 by halftime and 59-3 following a 13-0 third frame.
The Jaguars had no answer for Cassandra Rohan’s post play as she finished with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Jocelyn McCrain (12 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast), Meaghan Doherty (10 pts, 3 reb, 6 ast), Payton Martin (8 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast), Abby Smith (8 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast), Mairead Reitzel (6 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast), Emma Cohen (6 pts, 2 reb), and Scarlett Davey (2 pts, 1 reb, 2 ast) created a varied and potent attack for The Brook.
The Bears are back in action in a home non-league match-up vs. Southampton on Saturday.
