Yesterday evening, the boys’ basketball team improved to 2-0 overall and in PSAA play with a 91-21 victory over Solomon Schechter. It’s the second time in as many games this season that they’ve topped 90 points, including a 97-43 win over Waldorf on Monday night.

The Bears’ typical starting lineup sat almost the entire game in order to give their teammates the chance to play significant minutes, and the second squad did not disappoint in the lopsided win.

The Bears tore out of the gates in a 36-7 opening quarter, powered by eight points from Jeremiah Coty and seven from Jack Bunt. By halftime, the Bears held a 56-10 advantage and cruised to victory from there.

Coty led all scorers with 24 points. Jack Bunt (21 points), Alvin Zhou (18), Josh Duncan (18), Randolph Logan (4), Michael Xiang (4), and Paul Coty (2) completed the Bear attack.

The Blue & White are back in action tomorrow evening when they host Kew-Forest for a Friday night PSAA match-up in Swanson Gymnasium.
