On Tuesday afternoon, the girls’ tennis team improved to 2-0 in league play with a 4-1 victory vs. Long Island Lutheran on the Hollis Courts. The victory was also their 29th consecutive regular season league win since joining the PSAA in 2018.
Alanna Wu had a strong no. 1 singles showing, winning her match 6-1, 6-1. Rania Lajmi earned a near-perfect no. 3 singles win, 6-1, 6-0. Sarah Arrieta and Ali Cristobal combined for a 6-0, 6-0 victory at no. 1 doubles, and the Bears took the second doubles match-up by way of a forfeit.
The Bears are back on the court next Friday in an away match-up with LuHi.
