Yesterday afternoon, the girls’ tennis team overwhelmed Middle Country in non-league play by a 6-1 margin.

Isabel Guo (6-2, 6-0) and Ali Cristobal (6-0, 6-0) were nearly perfect at no. 2 and 3 singles, and the Bears swept the four doubles matches to seal the win. Alanna Wu and Lyla Petroske (6-0, 6-0), Rania Lajmi and Ava Birgeles (6-3, 6-1), Mack Vesey and Jayee Fu (6-2, 6-2), and Emily Shu and Olivia Hollerbuhl Muzquiz (6-1, 6-3) bested each of the Cougars’ tandems to complete the win.

The Bears are back in action on Monday when they travel to Mt. Sinai for a non-league match-up.
