The All-County junior threw a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs, 5 RBIs, and 3 runs to pace the Bears. Ariana Munoz scored 3 runs.

The Bears went on to clinch the League VIII Championship that season. Gonzalez continued her pitching dominance the following year as she set the Long Island career strikeout record with 1,153.
