On Tuesday afternoon, the girls’ tennis team began the defense of their three consecutive PSAA regular season titles with a 5-0 sweep over Long Island Lutheran. Since joining the PSAA in 2018, the Bears have not lost a single regular season match and on Tuesday they moved to 15-0 all-time in league play. They are also the reigning PSAA Tournament Champions.

Carina Cristobal (6-0, 6-0), Alanna Wu (6-0, 6-0), and Isabel Guo (6-0, 6-0) were untested at singles while Sam Cox and Caroline Helmer (6-0, 6-0) and Vida Sandberg and Meghan Creighton (6-1, 6-0) cruised at doubles.

The Bears are back in action on Tuesday in a non-league match-up at Port Jefferson.
