On this day 13 years ago, the softball team beat Southold/Greenport, 2-1, on a walk-off single by Juanita Gonzalez.

The senior’s hit in the bottom of the 7th inning plated Breanne Jaramillo for the Bears’ winning run. Gonzalez did it all in the game, pitching a one-hitter with 16 strikeouts.
