On this day 24 years ago, Dan Shanks ’92 scored 32 points to lead Coker College past High Point, 72-67. He was an efficient scorer for the Cobras, connecting on 9-of-16 shots from the field, including 5-of-9 from 3-point range, and 9-of-10 from the free throw line.

He closed his freshman year at Coker by becoming the first player to win conference Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year honors in the same season.
