On this day 80 years ago, the basketball team won its 11th in a row with a 32-17 win over Adelphi Academy.

The Brook led 15-5 at the break and never looked back in the dominant win. George Whitmyre and Howard Riedel each scored 11 points to lead the Blue and White attack.

The 1937-38 squad went on to set a program wins record with an 18-2 record, eclipsing the 1930-31 team’s 17 wins. The mark of 18 victories would not be equaled for 76 years until the 2013-14 squad went 18-3.
