On this day 21 years ago, the girls’ basketball team clobbered Port Jefferson behind 19 points and 10 rebounds from Rebecca Fischer.

The Bears outscored the Royals 28-0 in the opening frame and had a 34-0 lead when Port Jeff scored its first points with 2:13 left in the second quarter. The Blue and White took a 38-2 lead into the half and never looked back in the 56-18 win. Sara Kiernan (9 points), Jaclyn Cafarelli (9 points), and Eileen Clark (8 points) rounded out the scoring attack for the Brook.
