This evening, the volleyball team played the role of spoiler, topping Shelter Island, 3-1, on their Senior Night to close the regular season with a 10-0 league record. The Bears topped the Indians 26-24, 25-20, 25-27, 25-19 to sweep the season series from the islanders for the second straight year.

Sam Petersen recorded 7 kills and 7 aces, Lois Ezi notched 5 aces, and Liz Robbins anchored the offense with 15 assists.

The Bears are back in action tomorrow morning in a tournament at Smithtown West before looking ahead to the playoffs which are set to begin the first week of November.
