This afternoon, the volleyball team swept Pierson/Bridgehampton on their own floor in a rematch of last season’s Suffolk County Championship.
With first place in League VIII on the line, the Bears saddled the Whalers with their first loss of the season, winning the match decisively 25-16, 25-17, 25-21. The win allowed the Brook to improve to 4-0 on the season with all four victories coming in sweeps. Danielle Graves and Bekah Detwiler each notched 4 kills, Sam Petersen had 6 aces and 12 assists, and Hannah Detwiler recorded 3 blocks.
The Bears are back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 26 in a home match-up with Shelter Island, the only league opponent they have not yet seen.
