Washington Named Rutgers’ Player of the Game

After a team-leading six catches in Friday night’s season opener vs. #8 Washington, Jerome Washington ’12 was named Rutgers’ Player of the Game. Though the Scarlet Knights fell 30-14, their performance against the reigning Pac-12 Champions was universally praised. Washington was a key piece of the Rutgers offense, picking up 36 yards and extending drives with three first down catches, including one sliding catch.

Washington and Rutgers return to action on Saturday at home vs. Eastern Michigan.
