Last week, MileSplit NY compiled a list of the top 1,000 rising eighth-graders in America for the upcoming cross country season, based on their 5k times from a year ago. Aidan Harrigan, thanks to his top time of 20:53, came in at 377 on the list and 13th among New Yorkers.

Last year Harrigan was a valuable scorer for the Bears and capped his first season with a 9th place finish in the 11/12-year-old boys race at the Foot Locker Northeast Regionals, covering the Van Cortlandt Park 3k course in 11:40. His finish earned him 1st Team All-Northeast honors.
