On this day 50 years ago, Glenn Ogden ’65 ran a scorching 8:46.0 to reset the University of Missouri’s two mile record. The effort came at the Central Collegiate Championships held in Milwaukee, WI.

Ogden would go on to win two Big Eight Conference Championships for the Tigers, taking the 5,000 meters in 1968 (14:15.3) and 1969 (13:57.6).
