On Monday afternoon, the boys’ badminton team improved to 8-4 on the season with a 5-4 victory over Walt Whitman.

David Choi (15-2, 17-16) and Jerry Liu (15-2, 15-10) won their first and second singles matches while the doubles tandems of Tony Yu and David Wang (15-2, 10-15, 15-11), Ulysses Zhang and Jack Yu (14-17, 15-8, 17-14), and Alex Yu and Leo Yang (15-4, 15-7) closed out the victory.

With one more victory, the Bears assure themselves of achieving their pre-season goal of at least a .500 record. They are back in action tomorrow at home vs. Miller Place.
