
Yesterday afternoon, the boys’ tennis team swept the season series over Miller Place with a 5-2 victory on the Panthers’ home court. The Bears also defeated Miller Place on March 23 in a 4-3 win.
Jim Li (7-6, 6-7, 10-3) and Wensan Yin (6-1, 6-1) won their matches at third and fourth singles while the doubles tandems of Thomas Lawton and Brandon Gicquel (6-0, 6-1), Sam Hou and Harry Ou (6-2, 6-0), and Ben Tom and Bryant Kang (7-5, 6-2) carved their way through the opposition to close out the win.
The Bears are currently in 3rd place in the perennially difficult League V with a 4-3 record, trailing only Ward Melville (7-0) and Bayport-Blue Point (6-1). The Blue and White is back in action tomorrow in a home match against Ward Melville.
