Stony Brook Profile
- The Bears advanced to the Regional Final after upsetting #1 Greenport, 49-35, for their record fifth straight Suffolk Class C Championship. There was no C qualifier from Nassau (Section VIII) so the Bears forego the Long Island Championship and move directly to the Regional Final.
- This is the Bears’ fifth trip to the Regional Final, including their third consecutive: 2010, 2013, 2015 & 2016. They have never won the Regional Final.
- Stony Brook has previously won four Regional Championships: Boys’ Soccer (1998), Girls’ Soccer (2008 & 2009), and Girls’ Basketball (2009).
