Swimmers Sink North Babylon

Yesterday afternoon, the boys’ swim team earned its first win of the season in a 51-42 victory over North Babylon, a Class AA school with over 1,100 students.

The Bears won six individual events, including two by freshman Hunter Markowitz who took the 200 freestyle (1:59.43) and the 100 breaststroke (1:09.96). The other individual winners were John Zhou in the 50 freestyle (26.26), Konstantin Asam in the 100 freestyle (1:02.33), Leo Hsu in the 500 freestyle (6:43.86), and Jack Thiele in the 100 backstroke (1:08.52).

The Bears return to the water on Friday afternoon in a home meet with West Islip.
