Ou & Kang Earn All-League Honors

Golf 2015
Steven Ou (shown here last season) earned All-League honors

It is a difficult task to win All-League honors in Suffolk County golf. Only the top ten golfers among the six teams in each league are given the distinction, based solely on their scoring average. Additionally, because golf leagues are determined geographically, the Bears find themselves in the company of some of the biggest schools in the county including Connetquot, Sachem, Middle Country, and Patchogue-Medford.

Two Blue and White golfers made the All-League team despite the stiff competition and their relative youth. Sophomore Steven Ou finished the season as the eighth-ranked golfer in League I thanks to his 44 scoring average for nine holes, while freshman Christopher Kang finished 10th with a scoring average of 46.

In yesterday’s League I Championship, Harry Ou and Christopher Kang earned places in the Suffolk County Championship on October 31 at Rock Hill Country Club. Steven Ou and Jamie Barkume missed qualifying by a single stroke.
